Napa Valley

The Napa Valley is blessed with a Mediterranean climate that only 2% of the earth enjoys. This climate perfection for grape growing plus the diurnal swings in temperature of cool nights and very warm sunny days during the growing season is what provides consistent quality vintage after vintage. Another significant factor contributing to the global recognition of the Napa Valley as one of the finest grape growing regions is that this tiny valley has more than one half of all the world’s soil orders, 33 different soils series and over 100 soil variations which contribute to the unique terroir found throughout the valley floor and hillsides.

We have produced 5 wines from the Napa Valley through the years; our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc blend, Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, RTB Red wine which is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, At Anchor Cabernet Sauvignon, and our Napa Valley Red Wine which is a blend of fruit sourced from 3 Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, and a touch of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot.

Critical Acclaim

Chateau Boswell 2021 “At Anchor” Cabernet Sauvignon;  Aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and crushed stone follow through to a medium to full body with lots of juicy fruit and firm tannins. Ink. Blackberry. Blueberry. Bramble berry. Graphite. Superb. Give it time but so wonderful already. Drink or hold. 98 points James Suckling Top 100 Wines in the USA

Chateau Boswell 2021 “Tapestry” Napa Valley Red Wine; This beauty is just about pure perfection and reveals a dense purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of ripe black and blue fruits (blueberries, cassis) that gives way to more Bordeaux-like notes of lead pencil shavings, tobacco leaf, and crushed stone. It's more plush, supple, and sexy compared to the more structured Cabernet Sauvignon, but it still brings an iron fist in a velvety glove-like style in its full-bodied, concentrated, flawlessly balanced profile on the palate. This brilliant effort will benefit from 3-5 years in the cellar, but if you're able to wait that long, you have more restraint than I do. I'd be shocked if this wasn't still youthful and young at age 20. 98 points Jeb Dunnuck

RTB Red Wine 2015; "This is a truly inspired blend, profound, distinctive and perfect in every way, promising to become a Napa legend. 100 points" Robert Parker Wine Advocate

RTB Red Wine 2016; “ ..Crème de cassis, blackcurrants, licorice, graphite, damp earth, and beautiful Cabernet Franc earthiness all give way to an inky, full-bodied, powerful 2016 red that does everything right. It’s more backward and reserved, yet has thrilling purity, plenty of structure, and obvious minerality on the finish. Hide bottles for 4-5 years and drink it over the following two decades.” 98+ points Jeb Dunnuck

Beckstoffer To Kalon 2016; “The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard boasts a saturated purple color and a seriously hedonistic, full-bodied, sexy profile laced with notions of sweet plums, black raspberries, lavender, fruit cake, and hints of licorice. While a rich, opulent effort, it has notable tannins, a silky, weightless texture, and a huge finish. In short, it’s a textbook example of To Kolan. Drink this killer wine over the coming 20 years or more.” 98 points Jeb Dunnuck
